Q: QuestionI have a shallow box for a Kicker Comp C kicker sub that's on the picture in a shallow box like that. Can I put a comp R 10 in the shallow box like that too.

• A:Answer It depends on how much spare room you have and if you are comparing apples to apples. I think the comp C had/has a shallow mounting depth option. If that's what you are already using and asking this question then most likely not. If you are using the regular size Comp C the mounting depth on those is 12.2cm and the mounting depth on the Comp R is 13.3cm. Its hard to answer this question without physically being there to measure but hopefully this gives you enough information to figure it out.

• A:Answer This would fit under your seat boxes forsure. You’d just have to check the space between your floor and seats. And sub enclosure space. But personally I would tell you for a truck 10” comp r subs or comp c will fit seat subs easily.

• A:Answer Don't know the specs of that amp; if it can take a 2-ohm load then you can wire two of these to it in parallel. You would wire the two voice coils of one sub in series (NOT parallel) for a 4-ohm load, do the same for the other sub, then take the two and combine them in parallel at the amp yielding a 2-ohm load. Do a google search on series/parallel wiring.

• A:Answer No it will not I actually tried it using my buddies 2001 Silverado but the seat was on the box before it came down completely and the way it looked like it was a bad place to put the speaker anyway because it's positioned in the box at an angle such that I would expect the speaker to get damaged fairly quickly even if it did fit.

• A:Answer No, You can use a amp that has the wattage to handle your subs. Or and Mono block amp, or my favorite amp to use or 2channel amps. I have a kicker 1200 watt mono block on my 2 kicker comp R. And I also just got a 2 channel Audio Pipe amp 2200 watt and I use that now. But no you don't have to get an 4-ohm amp

• A:Answer They hooked mine up with a Kicker CX 400 for only $150 and it’s plenty. One single ten pounds with that amp. That’s all you need. Use a 4 gauge amp kit and I recommend the optional kicker wired remote to turn the gain up and down. So handy and it’s like $30.

• A:Answer If you wanna do it right kicker sells a loaded enclosure with 2 12in comp r dvc subs they claim there box is made specifically for those subs its relatively cheap compared to having one custom made. As far as amps at least the cxa800 bare minimum, the 1200 would be ideal and not under powered at all, hope this helps im pretty new to this myself and learned the hard way buying cheap stuff at first finding u get what u pay for. Spend a little more and only cry once.
