- Answer Yes, it's too much and not necessary unless you're going to change subs later. The L7S 12 is rated at 750 rms. The Kicker 800.1 or Audio Control LC 1.800 should be perfect. ( The Audio Control has low level inputs if you're using the factory deck. That's a plus as you won't need a low level converter.)

QuestionI have a 44L7s122 subwoofer. I checked every voice coil with a multimeter and I get a reading of 3.4 on each voice coil. When I wire the subwoofer in series 4ohm I get a reading of 6.6 at the terminal. Is that ok or is the sub a 4ohm?

- Answer Im running it at 1 ohm on the cxa800.1, it hits pretty hard but my box is on the small side so it could definitely benefit from more space.

- Answer No, this is a passive enclosure. Meaning you need to add an amplifier. Most kicker monoblock sub amps have optional bass knobs.

- Answer Definatly after buying mine from Best Buy I did another Instal with Best Buy products comp r12 single 12” in the loaded enclosure paired with the kenwood 1000w mono amp and my l7 on 600w rms outperformed it

- Answer I don't claim to be an expert but my level on my same amp & sub setup is that the amp is set to just about quarter of the way up & I have a bass knob as well. The knob I recommend you set at what works for you.

QuestionDoes any one know why this enclosure has a dual Two ohm product code ? In the box it comes with a dual 4 ohm Version sub which gives you 2ohm final empidience. Example Dvc-4 is 44L7S124 Dvc-2 is 44L7S122 Any one have any idea why ?

- Answer Because it is a dual 4ohm coil speaker wired together to make 2ohm final impedance.
