Yes, you will still get the temp reading on the device. Just won’t be able to record reading for future reference. It will with with any smart phone...not just iPhone.

If you are looking to set up your thermometer without an app, you can do that by following these steps: 1. Click the button to turn on your Kinsa thermometer 2. Wait for APP to appear on the display 3. VERY QUICKLY double-click the same button. Think the same speed as double-clicking a mouse. When the display changes to three flashing lines, it's ready to take a temperature. The button will need to be double-clicked quickly for this to work. For the QuickCare wireless stick thermometer, we recommend using your fingernail instead of the pad of your finger to more easily double click the button. The APP message will still appear from time to time, but it won't get in the way of taking readings.
