• They sell these without and with a pump. If you have to pump the water up or over to to a nearby drain which is higher then the drain on the bottom of the icemaker bin then you'll need to purchase a whirlpool pump. I've had three of these machines in the past 40 years and they make the best clear ice of any other brand. (it's made by Whirlpool) The parts do wear out so if you plan to own these machines for more than 5 to 10 years you'll be buying some parts but in my opinion it depends on the kind of water you have and how often you clean it. Buy Whirlpool icemaker cleaner and use it often. Suggest every 6 months.
