Sorry, but that is not correct. The Kitchenaid user manual and the sticker in the fridge quote a Type A filter NOT a Type 4. A Type 4 will not fit our fridge. See the attached photo of the type A filter that was supplied with the fridge. It is clearly a different design compared to the Type 4

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.forget the filter recommended for this refrigerator, go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a bypass filter kit and install it for $27.99. It is supposed to last 10,000 gallons or 5 years vs the 60 days or so for the ER=DRARXD1 A filter. You'll save a bundle these filters you speak of are near $60.00 each and are of poor design/engineering.
