Had the same problem, also food above began to spoil or get moldy quickly. Called BestBuy, but since we didn’t pay for Geek Squad & it was over 30 days, they told us to call KitchenAid. Took us awhile to get someone (held on phone for over an hour), but when technician came out, he said there was no drain hole. This was a defective unit. He thawed out the ice, but said that it should be sent back. I notified BestBuy that they were selling defective appliances without checking them out. KitchenAid picked up the fridge & refunded our money. We definitely believe that both BestBuy & KitchenAid know about this problem.

After 4 months, fruit/veggies in the crisper drawers turned to ice cubes & ice build up behind the drawers.. 4 repair calls!!! 1st guy replaced a small part. 2 months later same issue. 2nd guy said the blower/fan was not working to circulate air. Part ordered & replaced. 1 month later same issue. 3rd guy said 2nd guy did not connect the fan properly, which caused the freezing again. 3 weeks later...same issue. Thankful for the extended warranty... warranty company threw in the towel, and Best Buy gave me credit to get a new fridge. I love the heavy duty commercial look of this model, but thinking it's time for something different (see: works)
