I had this error code for this same dishwasher. My technician used a bucket to add water to inside of the dishwasher and then ran it on drain mode (you press the drain button and then close the door - it's a 2 minute cycle). Since the water was able to drain just fine, this indicated that the diverter pump was working fine and that there was no blockage in my drain pipes. Therefore, by process of elimination, the technician decided that it must be the control board. He wanted close to $400 to fix it, but I was able to repair it myself. I watched a 5-minute video on youtube that showed how to access the control panel. Figured I could do it myself in around a half hour, and it turns out I was right. (note: the video turned out to be for a different Kitchenaid model, but it was similar enough). I bought a 2nd hand control board on ebay for ~$60. The description of it was: NWOB KITCHENAID DISHWASHER CONTROL BOARD PART # W11049287 REV G W11410858 You will also need torq screwdriver set. Once I swapped out the board and installed the new one, I was back in business! Ten minutes into the cycle and still no error code. It brought a huge grin to my face. It's been running daily for the past two weeks and my wife has never been so impressed. But it really wasn't that hard.
