It's not GOING to work, until it's got electricity... we learned this the hard way, after post hurricane power loss. It's not just that the electric igniters don't work... you cant even get gas flowing to light a burner manually with a match or lighter stick. Dumb as a box of rocks! We profoundly regret our choice of this range for that reason.

It makes no sense what do ever to have a gas stove and can’t utilize it whenever needed. Whoever came up with this idea needs to be fired. The point of buying a gas stove is for the purpose of use without electricity. We spend all this money and still can’t get the full advantage of the product. Sucks!
