Best types are the one with totally flat bottoms! Also, check the pans and pots to see if they are compatible for ceramic tops: they have an indication printed on the bottom of the pots, usually. Do not use: cast iron, copper, and/or enamel!

Sometimes there are pictures to indicate. The bottoms must be flat, not rounded. TJMaxx, Marshalls have very good ones for much less cost! Materials not to use: cast iron, copper, and enamel coated pots - on the outside.
