• Hi Woody, The Siphon Brew Coffee Maker is BPA Free and complies with the Prop 65 regulations. Whirlpool/KitchenAid meets or exceeds all standards for safe materials, but our products do have cords, which causes them to make the list. Any time you have a cord, there is the potential for it to come in contact with something hazardous.
