• Yes it would drain out car battery. You can buy a Koolatron Battery saver if you wish to leave it plugged in the car

• Yes, it will drain the battery. When your vehicle is running and the electrical system is operating properly, your cooler will operate continuously without discharging the battery.When the battery is not being charged, the cooler should not be operated for more than 4 hours.

• Yes, if your vehicle allows for charging while off, this unit will pull power off the battery. Whether it will drain it completely is completely dependent on the charge status of the battery.
