I know it shouldn't have to be said but remove the meat from the shell first, works great on the meat.

I used it to grate Parmesan and frozen butter (for making biscuits) and it just works okay. It’s awkward to press down hard enough because it’s on the end of the mixer. It’s just a grater attachment and not very powerful. I think I’d be disappointed if I hadn’t bought it with an old gift card I was trying to use up. However I love the meat grinder attachment and I think that might be a better fit for grinding hard things. I grind meat on the reg and I’ve also used it to grind fresh corn masa. It works great, super durable.
