The shredder attachment does great for cheese. I use a bowl to catch the cheese from the attachment. It's quicker for me, because my stand mixer is stored on my counter top. My food processor is in a cabinet. The attachment also washes easy.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Food processor is probably better. The attachment is a quality attachment made with the finest materials. It can handle any cheese you put in there. The problem is you lose a lot of cheese between the housing and the grating drum. It just cakes up on the insides of the housing.
