- Answer You can choose to use USB if you want, I thought ethernet might be faster. I do not think it made any difference in speed.

- Answer PCmover will not migrate all the contents of the old machine. The Software compare the contents of the old and new machine then move just what is missing.

QuestionNew purchase. The instructions on my new computer for PCMover included insecure download instructions for the old computer. It was http and not https. Is this a problem? I ultimately uninstalled it from the old computer as I worried it was insecure.

- Answer I don't know for sure. Is the program compatible with the new computer (made to run on the new computer's operating system)? If not, then it will not likely to transfer. PCmover will let you know which programd it is very confident will transfer without a problem, which programs it is not sure of, and programs it knows will not transfer correctly. I have had "old" programs transfer correctly before, but you don't know for sure until you run PCmover.

- Answer If you do not want to borrow a 2nd monitor, then you will need to move the video cable from the old computer to the new computer a few of times.

- Answer Yes. The program will let you know which programs it is very confident will transfer without a problem, which programs it is not sure of, and programs it knows will not transfer correctly. Microsoft Office will not transfer correctly. It will have to be installed.

- Answer It will transfer from the operating system you boot from. If you want to transfer from both, then you will need two copies of PCmover and run it on the 2nd OS after booting up to it.
