There is almost 10 times the storage space on the 1TB standard drive but the performance of the 128GB solid state hard drive is up to 30% faster than a standard hard drive. This includes boot up of the system, opening files and programs. If you use relatively few installed programs on a device, you can store files on an external hard drive with the solid state drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That 1 Terabyte (TB) hard drive (HD) is roughly 8x bigger than the 128 gigabyte (GB) solid state drive (SSD). The benefit of SSDs comes in the form of speed, it's truly night and day. Would you rather have a laptop that can boot and open files in seconds (think of using a tablet and how quickly it starts up), or deal with the slowness of booting a computer with a HD but has an immense amount of storage space for documents, videos, and photos etc. I choose the SSD every time. If you are running low on space you can store large amounts of media using cheap USB storage nowadays. There are plenty of storage solutions out there, but not many performance solutions if you have 0 patience for slow computers like me. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I will recommend SSD. and purchase a big USB flash drive or portable hard drive for other documents. If you use this laptop with SSD, you will feel the performance
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.SSD is basically run like a USB so the boot process from off to on is quite a bit faster, basically a typical HDD will take up to 2 minutes to turn on whereas a SSD will turn on within seconds and be ready for use. or if you want to play video games lets say, the ssd will load faster. so anything on the ssd will load, write, and read faster than a hdd. price wise, an SSD is more expensive than a typical HDD. hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The 126GB SSD is great for your OS, it will boot up windows much faster than it being on an HDD. It's recommended to only keep your OS and your web browser on your SSD, the more stuff you have loaded onto your SSD the slower it will boot. I don't know if this laptop has an HDD, but if it doesn't, I would just buy an external one if you need the space.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.128 GB is 1/4 of 1TB... SSD drives are more stable and faster than the traditional HDD drives which are typically older, slower, and less stable technology. Read up on SSD vs. HDD. Computer technology basically doubles in its capacity every 6 to 18 months... I think its "Millers Law" the last IT class I took was in 1990... Right now we are using Mega Byte and Tera Byte to describe our computer and phone systems capacity to hold data in the form of bytes. Start with MB or Mega Byte which is one million bytes of information and the descriptive terms jump for every 1000 bytes... MB,GB,TB So a GigaByte is 1000 megabytes or 1000 million bytes... and the same goes for the jump to Tera Byte = 1000 gigabytes hope this helps
