If the training is on a cd or dvd you may need to look for a laptop with a cd/dvd player. If you download it from the Internet, you can probably use any device. Hopefully you can find a reasonably priced device for your needs.

Tablets usually run Android or iOS. A laptop has a keyboard and a more powerful processor. A laptop will use either Windows 10, Chrome or iOS as its operating system. Check the requirements of the software you will be running. What requirements and compatibility does the software require. Choose your device based on the requirements and compatibility of the work you want to do.
