“I've read that this machine will support "2x M.2 SSD - M.2 2280 SSD up to 2TB"...does this mean it can be upgraded to (2) 2TB SSDs (for a total of 4TB of storage), or (2) 1TB SSDs (total of 2TB)?”

It sure can added 1x 2TB M.2 and than I got another Samsung M.2 drive I than took out the previous one I added in loaded up the blank than use the Samsung migration software to copy my operating system to the new drive along with all of its contents. After this was done I powered down the system took out the 1TB it came with swapped the cloned drive into where the original drive was than reinstalled my previous 2TB M.2 drive. Now it’s packing 4TB of space.
