Same problem with me too... but only on charging... can't use my yoga 920 while its on charge.. because the temperature is too high.. feels like it would melt down some of the component... i have to shutdown and then charge my system every time.. Even on shutdown, the charging makes the laptop heated.. the whole body gets hot on charging.. this must be a fault by Lenovo... and if they are not addressing it and not providing their customers a reliable fix then i am afraid it won't be leading laptop brand anymore..

I have done a lot of research and there is no better solution than this. I tried and it worked 100%. Go to the power option, click "advanced power settings" then go to the "processor power management" tab, click on it, Click on "maximum processor rate", change it from 100% to either 75% or if you don't need the extra power then even 50% will be OK. save the changes, and then check plug in your laptop. Heating problem should have gone. here is a link for the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZNRtRiLG-0

The onboard fan will keep this device within normal temperatures. This is a high performance system. It is the only ultra portable 2 in 1 device currently available with a Quad-Core processor.
