A:Answer Lenovo claims that you can use it as a standalone monitor. Here is the deal - your PC should have DP output. You will need DP to DP cable, and for the sound you will need a USB cable. And then, I personally didn't get to work the system together. Too much effort and too many cables. I am not discounting the product though - in fact I loved the concept. If you are on the market for All-in-One system - this is worth consideration. It's kind of modular All-in-One. You can get smaller monitor and more powerful computer. In time, you can replace monitor to a larger screen without spending the money on the computer. Or, you can replace computer without replacing the monitor. From visual perspective you get a standing monitor with the PC neatly packed behind it.
