A portable DVD player with USB port is the only solution.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Simply use any USB CD or DVD drive like the ThinkPad UltraSlim USB DVD Burner. Yours does NOT have to be a disc burner. Just plug it in and start using it like you would any other USB device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Yoga series is in the Ultrabook class of laptops which means that they are built for a balance of mobility (i.e. lightweight, thin, and extended battery life) and power. Ultrabooks don't come with optical drives such as DVDs because they add a lot of weight, eat battery life, and add a lot of thickness to the chassis. That said, if you want to play optical media, your only options are an external optical drive that you connect via USB, or borrowing the drive from another computer on your network (advanced). Alternatively, you can rip the media to a digital file format (e.g. mp4, avi, mkv, etc) and just play the file from your Yoga. This is my preferred method as mainstream is heading toward digital content rather than storing it on physical media. For movies, since they take up several GBs of disk space, I recommend getting a cloud-based storage device that you can connect to your network and access from any of your devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bout a $15 external DVD player that plugs into the USB port and it works just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just buy an external Drive with USB. Works perfectly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If I needed to run DVD's or use disks, I would purchase another laptop... I am sure almost any USB adapted drive would work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can purchase a USB external DVD/CD ROM drive. They are universal and not made specific for this model or device. Also, if you are connected to a fast home or office network, it is possible to insert a DVD in the DVD bay of a nearby desktop and play from there. Google sharing a network DVD drive.
