You can always use an external hard drive for storing files, including a USB Flash drive. Programs, like games need to be installed on the internal hard drive, so reserve your internal hard drive for programs and files you use frequently. Use a Flash drive (you can get them in a variety of sizes, all the way up to 512GB) to store all your other files.
