Yes, you can upgrade the SSD to 512GB or 1TB, the system uses M.2 SSDs. I would recommend the Samsung 850 Evo M.2 drives, they're fast and reliable, or if you want even more performance from it, try the Samsung 950 Pro M.2 SSDs.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Seems that you could have it upgraded to 512 but not likely on the 1 tb. Probably more frugal to just buy system with 512 already but they are more expensive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Apparently, there are no user accessible upgrades based upon previous Lenovo tech comments (i.e., you will void the warranty if you open the seals), but I would be very surprised if you can't find someone on YouTube who has done the upgrades soon. You have to go with certain models from certain makers to get truly accessible parts. Typically, light-weight, compact systems are less and less accessible. You are better off getting exactly what you need up front rather than buying cheap and upgrading later. This is not always the case, but you have to do lots of research to get what you truly want. Also, if you want to know about upgrades for sure, you need to wait until the product has been on the market for a year or so. All the owners will do the research for you and let you know (on the Internet) if you will have trouble or not. Plus, by then, the owner warranties are probably expired anyway. If upgrades are important on this particular model for you, then I would not recommend getting it. If you want to take your chances, void the warranty, and discover that you cannot figure it out, you are warned. You can go with another accessible model, but you will very likely have the trade offs of more weight, less compact, and perhaps even more expensive. Quote of the week, "there's no such thing as a perfect computer". You will have to make some sort of trade off and settle for what you can live with and what you cannot live without and meet your budget.
