don't settle. even as an ADHD hobby enthusiast knowing that small ML models will get increasingly more capable, now that 32Gb is more standard, go that direction. GPD Win4, or a NUC might be a good option with decent AR / VR option

As for if this configuration (16/1TB) will work for you, if you want to truly future proof your purchase, with your area of work, 32GB of memory may work best. With the performance of the CPU and speed of the memory in the 16GB model, it should still serve your needs well in the close years to come.
