Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe it is safe. It is just a plain and simple purifier. It sucks air, pushes it through the 3-stage filter then blows the filtered air back out. Some products produce small amounts of ozone which they claimed is at a very safe level. It is somehow effective to kill bacteria.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am searching for a replacement for a Filtrete air purifier and came across this question about safety. As for safety, I ask you, do you feel safe knowing that this is a WIFI developed device that actively transmits a Gigabyte Microwave frequency signal in close proximity to your newborn babies? My personal ignorance aside, as many people seem comfortable nuking their bodies with microwave signals from their cell phones, be assured that the signal that is being generated, by THIS device, if brought into the spectrum where you could actively hear it, you would be completely sold on the idea that this is one product that does not belong in a nursery. This wifi signal is the equivalent of if you could color all air pollution RED you would immediately complain and call for actions for significant reduction of said air pollution. Given that you can't hear the wifi transmission, let's be philosophical: If a tree falls in the forest, and there is no one that can hear it, does it still make a sound? Keep it out of your nursery.
