Hi there, Rosie. Thank you for your question about the LG MSER1590S Countertop Microwave. We understand your preference regarding the child lock feature. Yes, this model does come with a child lock for safety. However, it is easy to deactivate. To unlock the controls, simply press and hold the Stop/Clear button for 3 seconds, and the child lock will turn off, allowing normal use of the microwave. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.IT has a manual child lock that can be turned completely off if you want by turning the button (Phillips head) clockwise to the mark on the right. You can also leave the lock engaged and you can then still open the door if you press the button and press the door latch at the same time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it has a child lock but it can be disabled very easily by pressing and turning a phillips head slot in the second button. Very easy to do, it takes less than 5 secs
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don’t think it’s a child lock. You just have to place your right index finger just on the side of the microwave and your thumb on the front button at the same time in order to get the door to open. I’m just not used to it yet so it’s a bit inconvenient
