The person might have been referring to the "Extenda Vent" option that LG carries on higher priced models but is not a feature on this unit. That option lets you to pull the vent assembly at the bottom of the unit forward a few inches to allow you to vent more fumes coming from your stove top.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Love my extended vent. On the bottom of the microwave, there is an area that says push. If you are cooking more than one dish on the stove or have lots of steam coming off, you push gently where it says push. Then the vent panel rolls out about 6 additional inches so you have more vent coverage over the top of the stove. When you don't need it, just push gently until it pops back into place. You can use the vent fans either way with it extended or not extended.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have 3 options for venting. Roof, wall, or back into the room. The unit comes set to vent out of the roof or wall. To vent into the room you have to make a small adjustment. The directions are fairly simple. The extended vent is a simple option that you don't need to use unless you vent through the wall or roof and is just some sheet metal that attaches to the micro and extends the vent outward to connect to venting in the wall or roof
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.means you can hook ductwork onto microwave and run the exhaust either through a wall or up though the ceiling to roof
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.LG microwave sticks out 1/2" longer than replacement microwave than had fan exhaust at top of front. The LG mircowave has exhaust vents on front top of extended unit. This design simplifies the microwave and functionally works very well as fan exhaust blows over your head.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know what this person is talking about but you can vent it internally (which in my opinion is just silly) or externally (extra hardware required). The vent works well when vented outside. The microwave however is a bit buggy with an SE error you may want to research before taking the plunge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.its when you have two options to blow the air either at your face level or into the vent which is located above the microwave
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.its a lttle adapter for enxtending the vent
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe this is correct and Thank you
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not totally sure, but think it means it can be vented out through the roof of your house if you wanted to. My other microwave didn't have that available.
