For an external exhaust the vent is located on the back of the top of the microwave to vent out the roof. If you are venting back into the room it appears to come out of the top at the front.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The pickup is under the unit above the range, comes with grease screens. The exhaust is set up at installation for rear, top, or into the kitchen using a charcoal filter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a draw back as the vent vents outward into the room unless you can vent out of the house. The fan is powerful enough to move the air but it should have a deflector of some kind to keep the steam away for the cabinets
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I converted mine to vent out the top front but they come ready to vent straight out the back or into a vent pipe
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The microwave pulls air in from the bottom and it leaves the microwave through the top or back. It can even vent back into the room. Try the LG website and look at the installation instructions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It comes out the top of the microwave. LG is so awesome. It includes a template for installation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The filters are on the bottom and sucks in the air from there and venti out the top.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Terry, Thank you for your interest in the LG - 2.0 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave - Stainless Steel, Model # LMV2031ST. This unit has a built-in automatic vent feature known as Auto Vent which helps to dissipate heat from your cooktop. When the microwave oven senses an increase in the temperature from the cooktop below, it automatically activates the vent fan to create a safer environment for you. It has a standard LED display so it will not indicate that the vent is on and the feature cannot be shut off, it will automatically shut off once it determines that the area below has reached a safe temperature which could take up to 30 minutes even after the heat is removed...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The vent is on top near the back and needs to be adjusted depending on how you want to vent it. For recirculating, which is the easiest and most practical way, the fan is turned to have the air flow up and out between the top cupboard and the microwave and into the kitchen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can vent out the roof or can be vented out the front of the microwave into the room (which is what we have done). Geek squad can advise.
