The only way to connect is with the Optical Audio port. There is not a HDMI port on this unit. Also, the Specifications state that no cables are included, however, mine came with the Optical cable. There is only one place on the sound bar to put it, and there is probably only one place on your TV. If you are not familiar with this stuff, the Optical port looks like there is a cover on it. That cover pushes in. And it does make a difference which way you plug the cable in. Take your time and be sure you have it pointing in the right direction before you apply a little pressure. Finally, the cable has small caps on them that you need to remove.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You will have to use the optical cable that comes with the sound bar or you'll have to use an hdmi cable, sold separately. As for the bluetooth, that just means you can connect a bluetooth device, for instance, an ipod if you want to listen to music. Hope that helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The soundbar can be direct wired via optical cable or HDMI cable if your TV has audio output capability. The subwoofer pairs wirelessly from the soundbar. The installation is easy if have easy access to your TV's output and to an electrical outlet. For detailed, accurate information, pull up the Users Manual from the LG website.
