“How do I connect to receiver? Tried optical to receiver and got nothing. TV has no optical Tried aux but nothing from receiver but worked with TV. I have turntable so it must all work through receiver to play all other HDMI plug ins as well. PS3/4+Viny+TV”

It should work with the optical out on your receiver. I have not use this with a receiver as you describe but would not see why it would not work. I used it as a pass through to my tv for all my av devices so kind of used the tv as a receiver for my ps4pro pc laptop xboxone and it worked that way with out problems so surely it would work with a regular receiver unless it’s a really old receiver and the audio codec aren’t playing well together.
