I dont notice a sound difference between commercials and show or when changing stations.

Hi Kat. There is a feature listed as the Auto Volume Leveler in the specifications for LG Sound Bars that have that feature. The LG - 2.1-Channel Soundbar System with Wireless Subwoofer and Digital Amplifier - Black, Model # SH3K does not have this feature. The units that are listed as having that feature support an Auto Volume function that automatically adjusts the volume level so that when an output sound is too loud or too low, pressing the Auto Vol on the remote control for the unit lets you listen at appropriate levels...^IFV
