Yup. You get a "Simple Manual" included in the box. If you read the cover page on that manual it will direct you to download the *complete* manual from the LG website. With the complete manual you'll get a much better idea of how you can connect your TV and soundbar. And a *lot* of other info not included in the Simple Manual. With this soundbar you have the choice of HDMI ARC and Optical connections. HDMI ARC is nice if your TV has it. Look for the HDMI jacks on your TV and look for one of the jacks labeled "HDMI ARC". If you don't see an HDMI jack labelled as such, then your TV doesn't support the "ARC" functionality. If you do find the "ARC" designation, then use that HDMI connection and connect to the HDMI ARC jack on the soundbar. Besides providing audio to the soundbar, what the ARC system also does is allow the soundbar to be powered on or off anytime the TV is powered on or off. It also allows you to control the volume and mute functions of the soundbar with the TV, cable or satellite remote. Which means you don't need to use the soundbar remote except for the functions specific to the sound bar.
