QuestionIs the clock suppose to go dark after a certain amount of time? I do not have the energy setting on and made sure my custom set for the clock is showing on. If so, I'm not sure I like that feature.

- Answer 36 minus 30 equals 6. If you don't want empty space on either or both sides of your microwave, you can try and find a wider microwave.

- Answer It's about 2 feet long, and is located, when looking "down" and standing in "front", on the top right quarter of the microwave, a bit off to the side of the top vent.

QuestionNot heating anythingThis microwave is new, (01/26/16) had it installed and went to use it and it does not heat anything. I placed a glass of water in it and hit 4-0-0 buttons. Should be 4 minutes. 100% power setting and hit start. The timer starts counting down at a very high rate. It hit zero in less than 20 seconds. The water is still cold.

QuestionHow far is the bottom of the bracket from the bottom of the cabinet? I have a tile backsplash I'm concerned about. Which brings up the next question. How much is the extendavent recessed? I'm hoping the depth of the tile is less than the recess.

- Answer I don't believe the previous answer is correct. The bracket will not connect to the extendavent which appears to be about a half inch below the main portion of the microwave. Can anyone answer who has actually installed this model? Thanks

Question-Does the vent have to be extended? Can I just turn on the fan without extending? -If I do not extend the vent, do I still move 400 CFM of air or less? If less, how much?

- Answer Extending the vent hood is not required to run the vent fan. There are four filter air inlets in the hood. Two are toward the back and are always uncovered allowing the vent fan to run without extending the hood. Extending the hood reveals two more filtered air inlets, doubling the air intake space. To me this is one of those “nice to have” features that isn’t entirely necessary, useful is smoke is produced from the front stovetop burners below or if smoke is unusually thick.

QuestionI have this vented to the outside, however, a significant amount of air is coming from the top vent of the unit when the vent is turned on (returning air back into the kitchen from the top of the unit). Is this normal?
