Hi Gena. Unfortunately, there is no way to convert a volume into a weight measurement. The LG 2.3 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Washer and 14-Cycle Electric Dryer Combo with Steam - Graphite Steel, Model # WM3499HVA will accommodate about 8-12 lbs of clothes, but keep in mind that 8-10 lbs of dry clothes weighs a lot more when wet. If you wash a full load in this washer/dryer combo unit, you will need to take half of the load out for drying because the washing capacity for the unit is twice that for the drying capacity. You can load your laundry into the tub but make sure to load it loosely making sure that the clothes have enough room to tumble freely, then take the clothes out and weigh them to determine what weight the washer can accommodate...^IFV
