I have a question on this person's question. Can I place the back of the machine 1 inch from the wall? I don't understand where the 6 inches comes into play??? I have about 1 1/2 inches to play with from the back of the machine and the wall. Nothing in between. Can't the drain pipe and the hook ups go up the machine? My hook ups are built into back wall on a little shelf / cavity.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It’s ventless, so you don’t have to worry about that. Everyones hot and cold water connections are going to vary. You also need a feed where water will drain into your normal sewer line. It also has an electric 110 connection. All of these connections are at the back of the machine similar to any other washer. Follow ALL the leveling instructions. In answer to your question, basically the same distance you would have on a standard washing machine. So far I like the machine, but I’ve only had it for a week.
