- Answer To help out others who have the same question I did: It is actually 5.9" not 5" as the top answer states. And it is 5ft long. The hose is also counter clockwise.

A dirty air filter will decrease airflow and reduce the unit's cooling capacity. Single hose portable ACs create a vacuum for the room that they are installed in. The vacuum may not be measurable if the room is not air-tight.
