This is for LG who answered my question. I did see the Manual. It refers to removing tape, adhesive tapes etc and labels. It is not clear if it refers to the clear plastic film on all doors and the inside Cool Guard Metal Interior panel. Can LG or someone else please clarify on this? Thanks
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I answered yesterday as dellen and I was was totally wrong. I kept thinking about it and playing with it and finally noticed a corner on the side of the door that came up easily with a little picking. Then the whole sheet came off easily and it looked great underneath. Sorry for the bad info….
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have the same problem. It’s not the thick clinging plastic that covers many new appliances and electronics and is usually easy to peel off. It’s over the stainless steel front doors and you can see the areas around the LG emblem and at the top of the door handles where the film is cut around. I think it’s something to do with the new “low-fingerprint” stainless. Unfortunately mine seems to have been applied over a smudged and spotty surface, locking the smudges and spots in forever.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm having the same problem with a GE fridge that just came in today. Apparently, the film simply isn't removable and you'll have to live with it forever. If you purchased the extended warranty you can continually send the fridge back and get a new one (where you can hope and pray that the film will be easier to remove.... but if not just return it again). Delivery people don't know how to remove the film either. The "best" recommendations are to simply cut your fridge with a razor but hope nobody will see it, dissect the door and hope you can glue it back together, or slather Vaseline all over your fridge that will melt some of the film.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Agolex. The plastic film on the doors and on the CoolGuard™ metal interior panel wall in the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 23.5 Cu. Ft. French InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Counter-Depth Refrigerator with Craft Ice - PrintProof™ Stainless Steel, Model # LRFVC2406S is to protect those parts from being scratched during transportation. Page 12 of your owner's manual instructs to remove tape and any temporary labels from your refrigerator before using. Do not remove any warning labels, the model and serial number label, or the Tech Sheet that is located under the front of the refrigerator...^IFV
