This is a very basic TV, and it has no sound output/jack to hook a sound system to. There is one coax (cable) input and one HDMI input. Nothing else. It's a good television for a kitchen counter of somewhere that you don't need anything fancy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately this TV does not have a way to connect external speakers. ^CP
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The HDMI port on this model also functions as the Audio Return Channel (ARC). Therefore, this TV may be used with an audio receiver that features ARC. To set this up, connect the HDMI port on the back of the TV to an HDMI port that supports ARC on the receiver. Then connect the set top/cable box, streaming stick, Roku, Apple TV, Blueray, DVD player(s) to the other HDMI ports on the receiver. Lastly, change the audio setting on the TV from internal to external speakers. Set the media source on the receiver to HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc. The receiver sends the audio and video signals from the selected media player to the TV, and the TV "returns" the audio channel to the receiver which then sends the signal to the connected external speakers. Depending on the receiver and number of speakers, it's entirely possible to have 7.1 Channel Dolby Digital Surround Sound while watching Star Wars on this little 23.8-inch TV. Why anyone would want to do that is beyond me, but it is well withjin the realm of possibilities. I have a 71-inch LG TV connected to an old Yamaha RXv371 receiver with 5 speakers, providing Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. The audio is Fantastic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You could use a splitter. Split the TV signal into 2 separate sources. Send 1 signal to the TV which it will use only for video. Send the other split signal to your speaker system for only the audio.
