QuestionI purchased a LG Dishwasher (Model : DFB424FW) recently. It's performance is really great however whenever there is power cut in middle of a 03 hr cycle then it starts from beginning on power return. I was told it will start from the time of power cut.

- Answer Did you remove the plastic protective cover? We thought there was a scratch on our dishwasher when it was delivered then realized there was a plastic coating on the door.

QuestionIt says quadwash, but the specs say it only has 3 arms. I checked the exact same model from sams and it says 4 arms. I believe this to be a typo.

QuestionI read the dishwasher is able to turn off the “End” display automatically after the cycle ends, by press and hold the “High Temp” for 3 secs (p27 of manual). It did not work. Called LG, said this model can’t turn off display automatically. Is it true?

QuestionWhat is the intake water line and drain hose diameters or is there a standard sizing? I don't want to open the packaging until it's time to install but need to get lines for it when I install them. Please no IDK answer just pass on this if you do not know

- Answer The intake solenoid assembly has a threaded brass fitting at the front left side, with standard 3/8" compression-connection threads (facing toward the right). A generic "dishwasher intake water hose" would have the 3/8" compression-type connector that matches it. Note that physically, the threads are actually 9/16" diameter, for this type of fitting, designated by hose size 3/8". The drain hose lets you choose one of 3 different common diameters for connecting to your drain plumbing: designated by 5/8", 3/4", or 1" All you need is a utility knife, if you choose one of the smaller diameters at the drain hose end.

- Answer This happened to us, it would not start at all. We contacted support, they sent us a document. Finally it was because the legs were not completely balanced, so after we adjusted it, it worked fine.

QuestionCan the silverware basket be removed? Newer models seem to allot too much room to it. Prefer my smaller basket.

- Answer My unit attached to an air gap I had previously installed for old dishwasher. I don't believe this machine ships with an air gap. You probably have to buy one separately.
