Hello Audrey. The LG Smart Top Control Dishwasher with QuadWash® Pro, TrueSteam® and Dynamic Dry®, Model # LDPS6762S does not rely on a heating element for the drying process; instead, it relies on the heat that is retained by the dishes and the tub during the wash and rinse cycles to turn the moisture in the tub into humidity. Warm, moist air in the dishwasher is then pulled into a condensing duct in the door by a fan. The air then cools, which causes the humidity to condense. Room temperature air is also drawn into the duct to help the air cool down faster. When this moisture condenses into a liquid, it is drained out. Rinse aid is required to enhance the drying performance. If no rinse aid is used, water may remain on the dishes and the tub. Dynamic Dry® with TrueSteam® uses four powerful steam jets on the door, plus additional jets on the top and bottom, to super-heat the interior for drier dishes. If the Steam option is added to a cycle, the Sanitized indicator stays lit at the end of the cycle if the dishes were properly sanitized (except the Refresh cycle). The racks do not have bearings, they have rollers...^Ivan
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not have "heated dry" but it does have "extra dry" button which works well...everything including plastics are dry. So I don't know if it heats or not...but it dries well on that setting. Same for Sanitized Rinse...not called that but it has steam feature and extra hot button, so I assume it would be the same. As for ball bearings, I don't THINK so, but it might. It has drawer-type sliders and they move VERY freely, sometimes slamming in when I don't mean for them to. So far we like this very much.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1. There is no heated dry. 2. The "steam" feature is LG's sanitized feature. 3. Yes, they are very smooth.
