Use a hairdryer to heat it up for 1-2 minutes. It should then peel right off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was greatly annoyed by this seemingly permanent ugly black sticker on the front the fridge. Funny - it’s not shown on product images on the manufacturer’s website! After confirming with Samsung that removing it would not affect my warranty, I used a sponge soaked with hot water, and held on the sticker, for about 30 seconds. Then, I used the thinnest plastic credit card I have to try and slowly start to push back one of the corners. Once I got a corner started, I was able to pull the whole sticker off in one piece. Easily. With no damage. Samsung really needs to rethink this marketing tool, as it is really quite annoying.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Kristine was correct about heating the sticker with a hair dryer for a minute or two. But for the LG Refrigerator warranty sticker it was a two step process. Heating it removed the metallic looking upper layer, but a clear plastic remained. Heating that a little longer made it possible to peel that right off too. Thanks Kristine!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It took me less than 5 minutes to remove stickers from the Dishwasher and Fridge. Heating the surface left no sticky residue behind to clean off Both Kristine and Sally are correct with their answers above. Dishwasher 1 Step Process and the Fridge was 2.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A week ago, I answered this question. I used a hairdryer, placed on high for approximately 30 seconds. This easily removed the "10 Year Warranty Sticker". However, the plot now thickens - err - loosens. From my own experience, I learned that the “10 Year Warranty Sticker" is actually affixed to a larger piece of transparent plastic that has been temporarily placed on the front of the LG dishwasher. This clear plastic sheet is merely attached to prevent scratching or minor damage to the front of the unit during shipping and installation. LG’s customer service, an off-site department that only refers to handbooks for advice was completely unaware of this. So, instead of researching the problem - LG customer service continues provides customers with a safe, albeit wrong answer; the “10 Year Warranty Sticker” must be part of the dishwasher’s design. Again, it most certainly is not. To remove the plastic shipping sheet with affixed emblem, merely go to a lower corner of the LG dishwasher’s door. Grab the edge of the plastic sheet and pull upwards. Viola, the entire plastic sheet with affixed emblem/sticker is easily removed. What is left is the sleek, futuristic LG dishwasher design, the one every LG dishwasher customer expected and has now received.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is ridiculous for LG to insist that an 10 year warranty emblem stay on an LG appliance. It ruins the front appearance of what is otherwise a sleek stainless steel look. I recently purchased an LG dishwasher which sported an ugly metal emblem on the front which reads "Inverter Direct Drive Motor 10 Year Warranty." It detracted from the esthetics of my new LG appliance. Luckily, my sticker was easily removed by using a hair dryer set on high for about 30 seconds. The top metallic emblem came off along with its gummy sticker adhesive undercoating. Easy breezy. The emblem was actually a rigid metal sticker. There is a caveat. A remote possibility that the spot where the emblem has been removed will be a different shade than the rest of the appliance. I believe this is very remote so long as LG appliance owner removes the sticker within a reasonable period of time after installation. I removed my sticker 30 days after receiving the LG dishwasher. The color of the appliance and the spot under the sticker were identical. Absolutely, no problem. I don't know for a fact, but suspect that an LG appliance left in direct sunlight will fade over an extended period of time. How long will that take? No idea.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They are still using that sticker and it came off easily just as Karen said it would. Thank you
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Heat with a blow dryer and at the same time use a old credit card and push from the bottom of the sticker to try to get under it with the card. Worked well to remove the metal sticker. The heat ruined the card so use an old card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. On my black granite dishwasher, I used the hair dryer for 2 minutes. Lifted an edge with my fingernail and it came off with no residue left behind. It was easy and worked great. When I emailed LG customer service, this is the response I received: A warm or hot wet cloth with a mild detergent is usually enough to remove stickers from the unit. Once removed, wipe area free of detergent with a clean wet cloth. You can also use a hair dryer for 2-3 minutes to loosen the sticker residue before wiping it with the cloth.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too was annoyed at the sticker on the LG dishwasher. After reading some of the other answers here - I was glad to find out it does come off. I used the tip of a sharp knife at the bottom left corner of the sticker and it came off within seconds.
