The Platinum Silver would not have the gloss finish as the stainless steel. As for matching the stainless steel, it would not be a drastic difference but it is slightly noticable. ^ Jamal
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My wife and I have looked at this Refrigerator compared against LG and other brand Stainless Steel units on the floor. We've also compared it against the LG 7.3 CF Con./IR/Conventional double oven and microwave Stainless Steel units we plan to buy together. Due to fingerprint surfaces the variation in color is almost non-distinguishable between the 3 units or the refrigerators. The other factor we considered is that with the galley style kitchen we have, the stove/over the stove microwave will be across and almost to the opposite ends from each other. Bottom-line if there's some little "spacing" between your appliances personally I'd go for it. We've both have NEVER liked side-by-side refrigerators until we saw this one. It's just "sleek" looking in design no outward handles and compared to our daughters counter depth LG fridge, I think this has an extra shelf unit in the door-in-door feature making it longer. You just really need to see it for yourself to appreciate it, as we've done already at least 3 times just to make sure. The only knock we have (And I have contacted and received a response back from LG.) is it seemed someone dropped the ball in it's designed by NOT adding some sort of filtration system for the Ice Maker. I believe I can find an inline filter unit similar to what they use in free standing drinking fountains. Apparently someone didn't take into consideration that a fair amount of this country has some level of hard water even from a city source. But we're still going to buy it anyway. I'm glad Best Buy just added this because they're now in play as we wait for the 4th of July sales to purchase all 3 units as noted above.
