The washer and dryer actually will attach to the pedestals. I am not having any problems.

Stack a washing machine that weighs about 150lbs and you have a combined weight of 200lbs sitting on the floor! I don't know what your current washer weighs, but assuming that it weighs around 150lbs, if an unbalanced bedspread can make that jump around then stacking a washer would be extremely unsafe! From your description, it sounds as though your bedspread is either waterproof or water resistant and if it is then I will strongly caution you against washing that in any stacked High-Efficiency Washer! All LG High-Efficiency Washers come with a warning against washing waterproofed or water- resistant clothing even if the garment label says it's okay to wash them! High-Efficiency Washers use less water and spin much faster than traditional washers to extract more water from your load so you spend less time drying which ultimately saves you money, hence their label as High-Efficiency! Waterproofed or water-resistant clothing or garments increase the chance of loads becoming unbalanced which can lead to excessive vibrations and shaking that can cause bodily harm or damage your laundry, the washer or even your property! What is concerning is how you have the current washing machine set up. I may be reading this wrong, but when you say that your current machine is sitting on concrete, I take that to mean that it is sitting on blocks of concrete and if that is the situation, you absolutely cannot stack a washing machine on a pedestal on that! The pedestal and washing machine must be installed on a level, clean sturdy floor that will support their weight. If your floor is not level, it will need to be leveled before you can install anything on it. A clean floor prevents the machine from sliding or jumping around which happen if the leveling legs are not making full contact with the floor and if it's not level, that can also cause the machine to vibrate and shake excessively! Although these High-Efficiency machines do come with a warning, you might be able to wash the bedspread using the lowest spinning speed, but you will need to proceed with caution!...IFV
