March 4, 2021 our LG fridge is not 3 years old. Repeated no cooling events over past two months, lost food, and living out of coolers in garage. Life is Good -or so says LG.. Still no cooling after two technician visits, compressor replaced, recharged system - and OMG DON"T BUY AN LG FRIDGE. Technician was very responsive and took good care -but we've since learned of all the linear compressor problems, class action lawsuit, customer complaints, and LG (Life is Good) indifference to the consumer. Married 50 years we've moved 9 times , lived in three different states - and never owned such a piece of junk in ANY appliance. OMG DON'T BUY AN LG.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought and LG back in 2016. The LC (linear compressor) failed in 2021). Lost about $400 worth of food freezer and fridge. I hve an appt for a LG repair tech to come out to fix this Friday. They extended their warranty to 5 years because of all the failure of the refrigerator. If I had to do it again, I would not buy an LG again. With the lawsuit and a known defect (they are still selling them), I would stay away from LG and stick with whirlpool or Frigidaire.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As far as I'm concerned, nothing. I purchased a French Door refrigerator for $2,900 on sale in June 2019 and the compressor went out xmas 2020. They scheduled an emergency repair for xmas eve. The repairman didn't show and all my holiday food went bad. Three weeks into the New Year, they came to fix it, but the repairman had to call his buddies to figure out what was wrong. They repaired it and right before Memorial Day weekend 2021, it started sparking, blew a circuit, all in a pool of water that was draining from the fridge. Once again lots of $ in food lost. LG was informed about this issue and has not reached out. This is now a safety hazard and LG says they have to repair it 2 more times before they will replace. They are a large company and aren't worried about customer satisfaction and it appears, safety.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought LG refrigerator 2015. Since then, I had to replace its 'ice maker', 'compressor' and 'motherboard'. Last time when its motherboard was replaced, it stopped running within 2 hours after the replacement. LG technician mad a FAKE REPORT saying that it stopped running due to an electrical issue with our outlet. What a ridiculous made-up story!! Now, LG Service is telling me that I need to pay for the repair after they FAILED to repair in a timely manner with its 30-day warranty! After dealing with LG Customer Service and a lousy technician with bad attitudes, I'll never buy LG product in my life!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My 30 month old refrigerators compressor died. LG can't fix it for 2 weeks. I lost an entire freezer and refrigerator worth of food, had to purchase a dorm size refrigerator in the interim and have to go buy ice daily because I am disabled and can't regulate my body temperature. I need to drink lots of ice water to avoid over heating and going to the hospital! I'm out over $600 and LG decided $150 is the maximum compensation even though this is a known problem!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have ordered LG fridge in 2019 - big mistake. Now in 1 month 4 times technician coming on site, changed 2 compressors, now they want to come again. The app that do the diagnostics is total garbage. If you run the diagnostics on your phone and even the fridge is turned off - it will show that all is working properly. Someone need to file a class action and recall all these garbages.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We own an LG refrigerator, model LMXC23746S/00. The compressor failed about a year ago and like the previous owner stated, we too were living out of coolers packed with bags of ice that we bought twice a day from the local convenience store. We tried like crazy to find a tech that would come out and service the issue and upon learning the manufacturer, all of them said "sorry/pass." We finally got one guy to provide a reason and he said "those compressors are garbage and LG won't honor/refund warranty claims for this part." After going toe to toe with LG, they finally agreed to replace the compressor however we learned that this was a result of closure of a class-action lawsuit over this very thing: Garbage compressors that fail after a very short service life. It has been less than a year and the replacement compressor has, in the last week, become louder than a David Lee Roth concert. Feel the sarcasm in my voice when I say that I can't wait to argue with LG again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought an LG side by side refrigerator in 12/2018. In 4/2020 the refrigerator section was not cold as it should be. Repair guy came out and determined the top temperature sensor failed. Cost me about $250 between parts and labor. Now in 7/2021 both the refrigerator and freezer sections are warm. Same repair guy came out and said the compressor is shot. Parts and labor are covered but I'll have to take another day off work so he can replace it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I to am suffering from the Linner Compressor failure. My failure started on 12/10/2020 in Ohio. Called LG and they set me up with a incompetent repair company A&E they give you an appointment say nothing about you need to verify the appointment change the your primary phone number to a secondary phone number. My 1st appointment was set for 1/6/2021 which is today. I called the company on 12/22/2020 to try an get an appointment sooner speaking with a A&E employee that set me up for an appointment on 12/31/2020 I said that's great!! That's my B-day I will take it. I had 3 text messages from them for the 31st of December. I think to my self this employee really is trying to get me back up and running. and if you read the class action lawsuit this is the way LG words it that people owning the bad refrigerators will get priority service repairs. Going to the day of my appointment 1st window time slot passes no repair man no phone call just waiting . About an hour in to second time slot no phone call so I call A&E they inform me that because I didn't confrom my appointment on a Sunday phone call to my secondary number that some how became my first. Its a land line unable to even take text messages. Don't forget everyone of my appointment times showed up on the phone that is in my hands 90% of the time. A&E also inform me that they canceled my claim and I would need to contact LG back and restart my claim. This is what I really think about A&E They dont have the ability to repair this refrigerator and inorder to say on LG call list for minor repair they close out the claim as a "look how speedy we are at repair product you can trust us" I am now shopping for a new refrigerator as of 2 days ago im have trouble even finding one because of the covid shortage. Think God im in Ohio its cold and im using my garage as a refrigerator.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I boight a french door LG in 8/2020 and and on 12/22/2023 it just turned off completely. After being on the phone with customer service arguing with them to come fix it since i bought a 5 yr warranty they finally agreed. The technician (Frank) was rude but did replace the motherboard but after 2 hours we heard a pop and started smoking and turned off. I called the tech guy and he said well we cant fix it anymore because we dont know what the issue is. Gets me so mad they dont care about customer service and have to force them to validate the warranty. Im never buying LG ever again!
