QuestionI have limited height for a tv so i am considering a gaming monitor instead. It seams to be about 6" shorter than a tv of the same screen size. Will watching tv on with a gaming monitor mess up the image ratio? ie crop the picture not stretch it?

QuestionI need a larger screen to run programs like Autocad. Can I use either a computer monitor or a new smart screen TV ? Is one better than the other, both have HDMI input.

- Answer That will depend what connections you have for the GPU and if it can drive two monitors. The 34WL500-B cannot be daisy chained so if your GPU can drive 2 monitors, you need to have either 2 HDMI outputs to connect to 2 34WL500-B monitors since the monitor only has 2 x HDMI input ports for connectivity or see if there's an adapter that will allow you to connect two monitors to one PC. Windows allows you to extend to multiple displays trough the Display Settings on your desktop. If you have additional questions, give our computer specialists a call at 800-243-0000. ^CP

- Answer No, this monitor only has 2 HDMI input ports. You will need an adapter in order to plug it into anything that's not HDMI.

- Answer Yes it can..it has its own FPS setting which also help TONS. It is perfect for gaming. I’ve had mine for about 2 months and I am glad I went with this monitor. I play WoW and destiny, mostly, sometimes Diablo. It is excellent for gaming. Although it doesn’t have speakers i still highly recommend this monitor, also it has the free sync that syncs up with my AMD graphics card, the photo I took just doesn’t do it any justice.

QuestionIs this monitor compatible with a ms surface book 2?

- Answer yes and no. Surface Products use a mini-dp and this monitor has only HDMI's. Yes you can run a mini dp to hdmi cord, but your highest resolution will only be at 1920x1080....which will make everything look stretched. I just found this out for myself and LG Tech Support confirmed this as well. You need a Monitor that has a Display Port to really use the higher resolutions. I am taking this monitor back to BB in a few days and I will be ordering the next one up the list. Which by the way is about $300 more, just for a dumb Display Port option.

QuestionI have tried many different times to change the source via the Joystick (underneath the LG). However, the only functionality that works when I press the Joystick is "on/off" toggle. Is there something different I need to do to engage this functionality?

- Answer It uses standard hdmi. Just get one of those 4k hdmi to get good value for your money. FYI the refresh rate doesn't go pass 75hz.
