Not sure why my question wasn't answered here on this site instead of instructions to call Customer Service...I thought that was the reason for this forum. For those who might have the same question, the answer is "NO - all front loading washers have water sensors." Late model top loaders also have this feature now but you can over ride it and add more water if you want to. At least you have the option.
