Ours does this too, so it may be fairly normal. It's a little annoying but we can live with it since we're really happy with the washer overall. Sorry, but I don't have a solution.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, I don't hear any sounds from the machine now that I've installed water hammer arresters. Well, maybe the hum of the spin cycle but not what you're describing.

Ft. 7-Cycle Ultra Large Capacity, High-Efficiency Front-Loading Washer, Model # WM3050CW to make a high pitched whistling sound during the rinse and the washing cycles when it is new. In some cases, these are the normal sounds of the new parts of your washer operating as a system for the first time. The whistling sound should stop after the first six loads. If the whistling persists, you will need to contact the LG Customer Support Center (800) 243-0000 to talk to a Representative or arrange for an authorized service technician to service the unit if you do not have the Geek Squad protection plan or if you're past their exchange policy. If you are still within Best Buy's exchange policy, contact them right away and see what your options are to get it resolved...IFV
