The rear speakers plug into the rear amplifier, which connects wirelessly to the soundbar (or sub). The rear amplifier also has a power cable that runs to an outlet.

The wireless part comes from the hub receiving the audio signal from the Main sound bar with a wireless connection (wi-fi or Bluetooth). So in actuality its more of a Faux wireless setup than a true wireless set up. To get more of a true wireless setup, you would be adding another Zero to the end of the cost for the unit.
