We apologize if you found the previous answer to your inquiry about the Fresh Care feature on the LG - 4.5 Cu. Ft. 14-Cycle Ultra-large-Capacity High-Efficiency Steam Front-Loading Washer -Model # WM4270HWA condescending, that was not the intent. The Fresh Care feature does blow a little air, but in response to your question "Could a small load dry or be nearly dry if tumbled overnight?" it is possible that a small load could dry depending on how much moisture was in the load after drying. The Fresh Care option will tumble finished loads of wet laundry for up to 19 hours to keep it from getting musty. The purpose of this feature to answer your question as to "what is the feature really for?" is to prevent your laundry from getting musty in the event that after drying, the laundry is still wet and you are not home to either remove it from the dryer to let it aerate so it does not get musty or if it has dried, that it does not get wrinkled. The tumbling action reduces wrinkling. If you would like more details on this, please contact the LG Customer Interactive Center at (800) 243-0000...IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Too begin with air is not used. what the feature allows you to do is have the clothes periodically tumble (mine allows up to 19 hrs) so they don't sour if you can't get the clothes into a dryer right away. This was not a feature on my old Lg and I don't know how many times we had to do a quick wash because they had sat too long in the washer (especially stuff that a high spin cycle was used) Hope that helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When I looked at the review for mine it said "Fresh Care option, which will tumble finished loads of wet laundry for up to 19 hours to keep it from getting musty." So I guess it's for when you put a load in to wash and life gets in the way and you forget about it till the next day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To my knowledge unless there is a brand new model,,, there is no LGbfront loading washer that uses a fan or any other type of device to blow air through/around the drum in any cycle or option mode. That being said being someone who uses the feature all the time and has watched how it works,,,, it is BASICALLY the same exact thing as the Anti-Wrinkle option on a dryer,,,, Where after the cycle itself is finished if the option is selected,, I believe it’s actually in the manual itself,,, the drum will stop at the end of the cycle BUT it will continue to Tumble Clockwise and Counterclockwise back and forth which is especially helpful with a large load after having used Extra High Spin when everything is kinda of smooshed together to help keep it all lose and “Fresh” inside the drum for I wanna say up to 17hrs-ish. So while it does not do anything “extra“ such as blow air through drum, or heat air through the drum like a dryer would it basically works exactly the same way as the anti-wrinkle option on a Dryer cycle.
