Hi Michelle814. We are not clear on if you are saying that the shorter time that is shown on the display when the wash cycle is initiated when washing a normal load shows as 48 minutes and is the same for when your wash cycle for a small load or large load starts on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Front Control Design, Model # WT1501CW. LG washers take variables such as cycle selected, the load size, load of weight, fabric types, fabric thickness, amount of suds, water temperature and more into account which may extend the cycle duration as it may require more water or take time to absorb the water. When a cycle is selected, the default time for that cycle is displayed. The time shown is only an estimate based on normal operating conditions. Several external factors (load size, room temperature, incoming water pressure etc.,) can affect the actual time. The time will change as modifiers or options are selected. Once the Start/Pause button is pressed, the washer will measure the size of the load. The estimated time may change once the load size has been weighed...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The timer on ours seems to change depending on what's in it, whether we use the deep water option, etc. It'll often change part way thru the cycle as well. Clothes come out clean so chalk it up to "normal" I guess.
