The washing machine is standard 120V power, and a cord is included to simply plug into a normal 3-prong outlet. I don't believe this machine exceeds 15A so no special wiring is required / no heavy duty outlet needed (read the manual / specifications to insure). You will be prompted to buy a new hose set. The electric dryer does not automatically come with a cord. When you buy it from your retailer, they are prompted to add a 220V cord (and a vent hose set (extra hose and adapter for steam, too)), and it's not inexpensive. The instructions cover how to attach either a 3-wire or 4-wire cord set. The house outlet won't stop you from any machine configuration: it's more of a code issue.

Electric dryer requires 220v wired directly to a terminal block accessible from the rear, 3 or 4 pin plug as your outlet box requires, not supplied. This would be a cord with appropriate male plug on one end and open, tinned wires on the other. Also requires a UL strain relief installed where it passes into the rear of the dryer chassis.

The matching dryer does not include the power cord. Such is standard practice. It can be connected using either a 3-prong or 4-prong cord to a 240V outlet, but follow the instructions if you're not familiar with the proper connections. You don't have to know "what your old dryer is" -- just inspect the outlet you have. In any case, since this washer's matching dryer can use either type, you can reuse your existing power cord, assuming it's in good condition.
